We did well in a few events. We failed the Cross country relay, and Shawn White was no great in the half pipe. Whateves. We still have next time, no?
This week we are heading to the happiest country north of north America! That's right, you guessed it... CANADA! We will finish up Olympic watching in Canada.
We will be going to a ski resort there and enjoying life's simple pleasure such as cupcakes and croissants.
I hope your weekend is going great!
To finish off the blog post, here is a cute little valentines day story:
My dad takes my brother and I out to eat breakfast every Friday morning. The Friday of valentines day, I told my dad to get my mom red roses for V-day, and he said that we'd see. So, when I came home from school later, there was a package on the doorstep, addressed to mom. I left it on the doorstep so that when she got home, she could see it.
When mom got home, she didn't go in the front door, she went in the side door. My brother and I went outside to try out these moon bubbles that, you know, you could hold (fyi: a giant mess). We got locked out, so she had to save us. Finally, about a half an hour after she got home I remembered the box. She went outside and got the package and opened it. They were red roses!
Later on we found out that the roses were actually ordered BEFORE I had told dad to get them. <3 (That is a heart, for those of you who are technologically non-advanced.
