So, hi everyone. I'm back.
I've actually been back for quite some time, but I just haven't been feeling like blogging lately. There has kind of been a lot going on and some of it is kind of hard to talk about.
*Just a quick note: this post might not be filled with the usual swag and pep. I'm kind of sad about some things and I think it shows a little bit. Sorry.
So, first off, skating. This might be the hardest to talk about out of everything here, because I still feel pretty sad about it even though things happened a while ago.
As some have you might have already guessed, I have quit skating. This decision was really tough for be, but it generally boiled down to the fact that I would have to give up a lot to progress in skating and the things that I had to give up were more important to me than skating (aka school, cross country). It was also becoming a bit more like a chore than it was before and I guess it was just kind of time.
That doesn't mean I'm not sad, though.
Also, once we got back from Europe, a lot started to happen and I just got kind of busy and distracted and I had kind of fallen out of the habit of blogging and just kind of forgot about it. Then the whole skating thing happened, then school started.
The start of school is always super busy and it often feels as though a million things are happening at once. Cross country started and I was named captain (YAY!! More on this later), and I had homework again and kind of had to learn to manage that again. But then, about middle of September, after my birthday, everything started to slow down again. And, at that point, I began to feel really sad again. I think it was mainly because I felt like I didn't really have anything to do and like there were minimal activities that I had to complete. I just didn't feel like I had anything to do. I felt incredibly bored. And I still kind of feel that way now.
So, I am going back to blogging and I am going to try to see if that helps, but maybe in the mean time, I'll find a new hobby that I am excited about and will tell you guys about. I think that I'll continue blogging though and will try to post a couple times a week (while I made it out to seem like I have nothing to do, that's not really true: I do still have cross country! I'm going to do indoor track as well again this year. I'm still pretty busy).
Oh! On Thursday this week I'm getting braces! I'm nervous but also just kind of ready to get them on, seeing as we knew from when I lost my first tooth that I would need them. I have lots of teeth, but a pretty small mouth.
